Q #327 - You're in the right-hand lane of a three-lane motorway. What do these overhead signs mean?
You must obey these signs even if there appear to be no problems ahead. There could be queuing traffic or another hazard which you can't yet see.
Move to the left and reduce your speed to 50 mph
There are roadworks 50 metres (55 yards) ahead
Use the hard shoulder until you've passed the hazard
Leave the motorway at the next exit
